We have just returned from a trip of several weeks to the United Kingdom, Bavaria and Hong Kong. Jan's daughter, Natalie, and her partner Dom, have been living in London for several years. They had their first baby in November, and we went there for Christmas and New Year.

As well as spending time in London, we will had a week at Karma Bavaria with our friends from Glasgow, Lizzie and Colin. Returning from Germany, we journeyed by train to the medieval city of York, and then northwards to Aberdeen. We didn't get as far as The Shetland Islands during our trip in 2022/23, but this time we took the ferry to experience the northernmost part of Scotland in the depths of winter. After a week back in London, we will spent a couple of days in Hong Kong on the way home to Cairns.

Later in 2026 we will be doing a road trip from Cairns to Melbourne and back. We will take in parts of Central Queensland, Central and Western New South Wales, and the coast from Brisbane to Far North Queensland.
