After experiencing the sights in Ljubljana while dodging the showers, our luck with the weather didn't change when we got to Zagreb. But again, that didn't stop us from getting out and about Croatia's capital. With three nights, and two full days to explore, there were enough breaks in the rain to see all that the city offers.
It seems that Zagreb is in the middle of a massive spring-clean. Almost all the major attractions are cloaked in scaffolding and being restored to their former glory. Normally, we are pretty good at taking photos that cut out the steelwork, but here there was just so much that it couldn't be avoided. So now the metal overcoats need to be seen as a feature of this visit!
Enjoy the story, scaffolding and all.

The photos look quite charming. I’ve got family not to far from Zagreb. Next time I find myself in this part of the world, should I consider Zagreb as part of the itinerary?
Yes, definitely. We didn’t get the most out of our couple of days because it was so wet, but it has a really good vibe. A bit more gritty than some of the other parts of Croatia, but there is a lot of nightlife going on in Zagreb.
