After our spot of rest and relaxation in Thessaloniki, it was back on the road to continue our journey through Greece. Our destination was Mount Olympus National Park, home of the ancient Greek gods and some of the best hiking trails in the country.
There was too much snow about to really cover the best trails in the park, but we managed a bit of walking, taking in some amazing views of the mountain in one direction, and the Aegean in the other. This is definitely another place for us to earmark for a return visit at some time.
Enjoy this part of the journey with us, and sign up for email notifications when we post.

Looks beautiful and really peaceful. If you had your time again would you have spent less time at your previous R&R stop and spent more time around this locale?
The best walking at Olympus was at high elevations, and the amount of snow meant that more time wouldn’t mean more walking. But it is definitely a place we would like to go back to in Summer.
