Another double-story post this time and across three countries!
This part of our adventure saw us crisscrossing borders over a fortnight. After leaving southern Germany, we drove back into France for a few days in Strasbourg, a city on everyone's must see list when in Eastern France. Colmar, a delightful town, is an easy day trip from there.
We then re-entered Germany to do a weeklong house sit at a town in the Moselle Valley in Western Germany. We were close to a couple of nice cities, as well as Luxembourg, so we were able to do a few day trips in the area. Of course, we also did a couple of nice day walks. The Autumn colours are really coming out now, making the scenery just that bit better.
We hope you enjoy travelling with us again.

Wow I absolutely loved this Sway. I’ve got family in Mulhouse, France, 100km south of Strasbourg, and Ludwigsburg, in Germany 150km east of there. My cousin (from Perth) was one of the international students in Heidelberg. And in 2008 Kate, Alec, Liam & I spent a couple of days meandering around Luxemburg. The photos and stories shine a light on the landscape, community villages and architectural history in a beautifully measured way. As usual, I finish the Sway thinking “Wish I was there!”
See, you should have come to join us, could have caught up with family!
