Sussex, Devon and Cornwall
It is hard to believe that it is less than two weeks since we left London, and since we did our first post for the great journey we have undertaken. We have covered a lot of ground and seen and done a lot in a short space of time. Because of this, our second post is quite a big one, so settle in for a long read as you share the experiences we have had.
This part of the trip involved picking up a car and heading south, then towards the western Counties of Devon and Cornwall. You will travel with us through some great towns and villages, and come with us on a few walks along this unbelievably picturesque coastline. The South west Coastal Trail runs for just over 1,000 kilometres along the coastlines of Devon and Cornwall, and our destinations were never far from the trail.
This very much holiday, pirate and centuries-old fishing land. The modern day hasn't completely changed the ancient maritime feeling of the whole south-west part of England.
We hope you enjoy reading about it as much as we enjoyed being there.

Great photos.
Continue to enjoy the big trip.
Glad to hear you are enjoying them. You would love the walks we’ve been doing, although I suspect you’ve walked in some of these spots before. Some spots in Wales are very similar to the Victorian High Country.
We are having a more gentle week in the Cotswolds. One walk completed and one or two more to go, but they are more rambles than challenges.
