This weekend we travelled to Launceston for Festivale, Tasmania's premier food, wine and entertainment event. Held in Launceston's City Park over three days, it features a continuous program of music, comedy and cooking shows on four stages. (www.festivale.com.au)

We discovered this event almost by accident last year and enjoyed it so much that, not only did we come back, we brought some friends with us this time. Chris, Carolyn, Jo, Narelle and Chris (yes, you can never have too many people named Chris) were there with us to hear headline acts Jack Jones, Vanessa Amarosi, Eskimo Joe and Russell Morris.

The weather wasn't as kind to us this year, but over 100 food and drink stalls, along with out best wet weather gear, meant it was still a great weekend.

We're sure to go back in 2021, hopefully with a bigger group of friends.
